Chart Watch - November 28, 2008

Our weekly recap of veteran artists on the current music charts. Chart highlights:

  • Enya takes over the top album by a veteran artist position with her holiday entry, And Winter Came...
  • Holiday music is everywhere on the charts now and we have added the Top Holiday Albums and Singles Charts for the next month.
  • Rod Stewart has the highest debut for a veteran artist as his Definitive Collection starts at number 70. In England, where it's called Some Guys Have All the Luck, it debuts at 19 and in Canada is begins at 26.
  • The only other premier in the U.S. is Sammy Hagar's Cosmic Universal Fashion, which begins at 95.
  • In England, the big premier is Simply Red's 25: The Greatest Hits, which debuts at 9. Also premiering in the U.K. is Tom Jones' 24 Hours at 32 and The Informer by Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra at 48.
